Four new concepts are being introduced: (1) to stop the cars entering the pedestrian and the landscape level; (2) to create a new center and new public spaces within it; (3) to restore the landscape; (4) to double the entrances into the sea. In addition to the changes made to the road network and the improved access to Castor and Pollux hotels, the construction of the garages underneath all the public spaces and buildings (intended for all users) is foreseen. Such traffic arrangement makes possible to succesfully design the pedestrian areas: the main seaside promenade, which extends on the see, as well as the connection between the new Church and Main square through the small terraces in the pine forest, to the Hotel square, connected back to the promenade. New forms of the public spaces such as the continuous square (the form of the square follows the slope of the terrain) and the double square (a public space on two levels) are intended specifically for them. The existing vegetation is marginalized due to misuse and lack of care. We propose its restoration, restricted use, additional protection of the park and an arrangement out of small wooden terraces between the trees. The extension of the seaside promenade into the sea using a pontoons construction, allows double access to the sea, which does not prevent beautiful views to the south of Kvarner Bay, as well as an increased bathing area. The proposed interventions double the existing green space, extend the tourist season by covering the pools with glass, lower the operating costs due to the use of photovoltaic elements and enlarge the parking area with additional 1.000 parking spaces.
